Ghana Black Stars have all but lost any chances of the qualifying for the next FIFA World Cup to be held in Russia next year.
This follows their failure to beat the Cranes of Uganda in the fifth game of the qualifiers at the Mandela Stadium in Uganda's capital of Kampala.
In a match slightly dominated by the Stars, they seemed to have nicked the winner late into injury time as Raphael Dwamena slotted home a rebound.
But it was not to be as South African referee, Daniel Bennett disallowed the goal for offside after one of his assistants raised his flag, effectively dashing Ghana's hopes of a fourth successive world cup.
The referee has come under a lot of bashing on social media as many believe the goal should have stood.
