Head pastor and founder of the World Miracle Outreach, Dr Lawrence Tetteh, has moved quickly to pray against any demon inside the 'blood red’ Nsukwa River, following an abnormal change in colour of the water body.

Early on Sunday, October 6, 2017, reports emerged that the Nsukwa River in the New Juaben municipality in the Eastern Region had turned red, with many people suspecting it to have turned into blood.

However, Dr Lawrence Tetteh has moved swiftly to pray against any demons causing the change in colour of the river.

The World Miracle Outreach head pastor visited the place on Sunday to offer some prayers and to commit the people of the community into the Devine hands of God.

"...We cast every demon, we say Koforidua shall be peaceful. There will not be bloodshed; there will not be anything evil, the people of Koforidua will be blessed", Dr Lawrence Tetteh said while praying.

"....:As we see this thing in the river; the river is looking like blood, whatever it is and wherever it comes from we bless it in Jesus’ name, Amen!"

Reports of the Nsuukwa river turning into blood have however been strongly refuted by the Kontihene of Koforidua, Nana Nyantakyi.

According to him, the change in colour of the water body is due to a chemical pollution.

Speaking in an interview with Accra FM, Nana Nyantakyi said he has "personally also gone around and realised this is not blood. The Nsukwa River has not turned into blood; it is just colour from somebody doing his tie-and-dye", while also adding that "It has nothing to do with the ‘Akwantukesie’ that we are going to celebrate. It has nothing to do with human blood; it has nothing to do with goat blood”.
