John Mahama saddened by gas explosion

- Akufo-Addo said "my deepest condolences to the families of the bereaved, and I wish the injured speedy recovery"

- Former president John Mahama also in a Facebook post said "he feels the pain"

Ghana’s President Nana Akufo-Addo has expressed his condolence to families of the bereaved in Saturday night gas explosion at Atomic junction in Accra.

Akufo-Addo opined that he was “devastated” by the loss of six lives the over 35 injuries following the explosion.

The President in a post on Facebook said:

Former president John Dramani Mahama also asked Ghanaians to rally round and offer a hand of help to the affected persons and families.

Meanwhile, at least six people have been confirmed dead with over 35 people injured in the Madina Atomic Junction gas explosion, according to the Ghana Fire Service spokesperson Billy Anaglatey.
