Saudi Arabian leader King Salman found this to be true when he landed in Moscow on Wednesday, October 4 for a state visit.
His plane's golden escalator, which probably had never had a problem before, broke down just as he was disembarking. And yes, dignitaries and cameras were watching from below.
The 81-year-old monarch was left momentarily confused before being urged to, er, use his feet. He eventually walked down the stairs.
