- Ghana have lodge complaint to FIFA following their draw against Uganda
- The Black Stars complained of their disallowed 93rd minute goal
- They currently face disqualification from the 2018 World cup pending FIFA's decision
Ghana have lodged a complaint to FIFA after they were denied a 'perfect goal' in the 93rd-minute of the 0-0 draw against Uganda in the World cup qualifiers.
Dropping the two points sees the Black Stars on the brink of elimination in their quest to qualify for the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
Kwesi Appiah's side also saw a perfectly valid goal chalked-off in the first half, while seeing a strong penalty appeal turned down later in the crunch game.
The tie could easily have ended 3-0 to Ghana, a result that would have seen them leapfrog Uganda into second in Group E.
Instead, they now sit two points behind Uganda and three behind Egypt who top the group with a game in hand against Congo.
The controversial decisions have seen Ghana submit a complaint to FIFA to have the officials looked into.
The Ghanaian FA confirmed their complaint submission via tweets on their verified Twitter handle.
A statement from the Ghana FA read: "The GFA filed the protest to Fifa, immediately after the match at the Mandela National Stadium in Kampala.
"Mr Bennett [referee] and assistants denied Ghana a perfect goal in the 93rd minute with television replays showing that it was a perfect goal.
"The referee also denied Ghana a penalty earlier in the second half when Ghana midfielder Frank Acheampong was brought down in the box.
"These and several other decisions by the match officials have left the GFA with no option than to ask Fifa to examine their performances."
Following the bizarre ending to the game, Ghana coach Kwesi Appiah said: "I think it was a good goal because the goalkeeper punched back the ball."
The Black Stars now need Egypt to lose both of their last two games to stand any chance of qualifying for the World Cup next summer, with only the winners of the five qualifying groups proceeding.
