The committee, chaired by the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II have been working to ensure that a new Yaa Naa is peacefully installed to lead the people of Yendi.
President Akufo-Addo assured the committee that they have the full support of the government, in relation to the execution of their duties.
He emphasized that he isn’t a native of Yendi, and for that matter has no parochial interest in the impasse. All he wanted, he said, was a peaceful settlement of the dispute, so that all would be well.
He therefore pleaded with the Abudus and the Andanis, the two main factions, to ensure that they resolve their differences as amicably as possible.
