Journalist dies covering Atomic junction gas explosion

Information reaching YEN.com.gh indicates a Net 2 TV journalist who was covering the Atomic junction gas explosion has allegedly dies from the scene of the accident.

Mohammed Ashiley Yakubu, who is a member of the Presidential  Press Corps met his untimely death during the gas explosion which occurred on Saturday.

According to the investigation , Yakubu fell off the overpass and died on the spot during the blast.

The family of the journalist on Monday paid a call on the President Nana Akufo-Addo to formally inform him about the death.

President Akufo Addo pledged to take up the cost of the funeral and other expenses.

So far seven people have died from the gas explosion while 132 others were injured. Meanwhile, over 60 people have so far been treated and discharged.
