President of the republic, Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo has finally paid a personal visit to the disaster grounds of the Atomic Junction gas explosion and the Ridge Hospital which is currently treating some of the hundreds of victims injured.

The surreal and solemn visit by the president saw him make various profound statements over his hunger to have parliament pass new regulations on petrol station that would go a long way to put an end to the menace of such deadly explosions.

“I am resolved in my determination to ensure that such incidents come to a stop in Ghana. We cannot continue with them,” Nana Addo stated.

Nana Addo was accompanied by a delegation from the Flagstaff House which included the minister of power, Boakye Agyarko, who updated the president on recent developments to streamline the petroleum sector.

The Atomic Junction gas explosion continues to bring shock and anguish to the very victims who suffered from its devastating nature. The disaster, which is feared it have killed close to 7 persons and injured over 100 victims, has seen government express a major resolve to ensure that such a disaster never resurfaces again.

Many statesmen and celebrities including past president John Mahama, Captain of the Black Stars Asamoah Gyan and Rapper M.anifest have all expressed their condolence to the bereaved families and sent their warm wishes to the burn victims.

Vice president Mahamudu Bawumia has paid a crucial visit to all victims of the tragedy as he has pledged of government's resolve to fully tackle the issues about the establishment of gas and filling stations at residential areas.
