-Lawyer Maurice Ampaw has predicted himself becoming Ghana's president in 2024
-He however failed to mention the ticket on which he will be contesting
Popular Ghanaian lawyer, Maurice Ampaw is nursing a presidential ambition and would contest the presidency in the not too distant future.
According to him, he envisages himself winning the presidential election in 2024.
''I will become president of Ghana in 2024'', he told Lexis Bill, host of Joy FM's Drive Time show on Monday in an interview.
He however failed to mention whether he was going to contest the election on a party's ticket or as an independent candidate.
Touching on his career path, Mr Ampaw disclosed that he had initially thought of becoming a pastor but only became a lawyer by twist of fate.
''Growing up I wanted to be a pastor '' but my fate turned out to be different, he stated.
Lawyer Ampaw has been in the media spotlight for sometime now largely due to his controversial opinions on matters of national interest and the controversial cases he usually is involved as a lawyer.
He is currently the lawyer for Lawrence Abrokwah, the ex-husband of on-air-personality and comedienne Valentina Nana Adjeiwaa aka Afia Schwarzenegger in their case over the circulation nude videos of the Afia Schwarzenegger.
He is also the the lawyer for Sarah Kwabla, the lady who in 2015 infamously accused Black Stars captain of impregnating her.
Born on September 24, 1968 to the late Gibson Dotse Ampaw, a minister under the Busia government, he was raised by his mother Gladys Darko because she left the father, two years after giving birth to lawyer Ampaw.
Being the son of some a minister under Busia, it would not be shocking if he has leanings towards the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and it will be interesting to see him contest in presidential primaries with possible contestants like Alan Kyerematen and Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia.
