A person named in the incident, Cynthia Amoabeng, who is Fire Officer has denied the accusations leveled against the former MP, as well as herself.
She revealed that the former MP involved in the matter never took money from Alex.
She added that Alex’s forms were rejected because it appeared as if there were discrepancies in them.
According to her, she barely knows Alex, and has at no point in time taken money from him.
That notwithstanding, she ensured that GHc1000 was paid to him; she went ahead to assure him of further payments.
She added that at no point was Alex threatened with death if he persisted in demanding his money.
She went ahead to reveal text interactions with him that sought to indicate that he was rather the one behind the threats.
Cynthia went on to say that Alex had reported her to several media houses, as well as police stations.
This, she added, was unexpected, as he (Alex) made no effort to contact Aunty Diana (who served as the liaison between them).
