Spanish striker Alvaro Morata has reportedly lost the battle to be fit for Chelsea's tough Premier League encounter at Crystal Palace on Saturday, October 14.
The Spaniard had given many Chelsea fans some cheering news that he would be back for the Blues after the international break.
But the injury has not healed as quickly as the player hoped and he is now setting his sights on returning for next week's Champions League match at home to Italian side Roma.
Since Morata joined Chelsea from Spanish club Real Madrid, he has been superb for the Blues and has proved that he is capable of replacing Diego Costa who has joined Atletico Madrid.
The hamstring injury Morata suffered has given Chelsea gaffer Antonio Conte serious headache as the Italian tactician is left with only Michy Batshuayi to parade up front.
