National Petroleum Authority, AMA and others sued over the siting of a filling station

- The woman claimed that she does not feel safe as a result of the location of the filling station

- Her action follows an explosion that occurred in Accra on Saturday October 7, as a result of a gas leak

The National Petroleum Authority (NPA). has been sued as a result of siting of a filling station at Tesano, a suburb of Accra.

The Accra Metropolitan Assembly (AMA) as well as two other institutions have been named in the suit as well.

The complainant indicated that the potential dangers one could be exposed to should not to be taken lightly.

She revealed that the facility has been positioned close to her home, and as such she doesn’t feel safe.

Her fears and consequent action follows an explosion that occurred at Atomic Junction, in Accra, in which 7 persons reportedly lost their lives.

About 132 others were allegedly rushed to medical facilities, as a result of injuries they suffered from the incident.

According to sources, the explosion occurred as a result of a gas leak.
