The Nana Addo-led government has been sent by God to deliver Ghana from the corrupt practices superintended by the erstwhile John Mahama government, a former president of the Ghana Baptist Convention (GBC), Rev. Dr Steve K Asante, has said.
According to him, the country would have sinked into a deeper crises had Ghanaians not opted for a change of government.
He described the erstwhile National Democratic Congress (NDC) government, led by John Mahama, as lacking the requisite knowhow to manage the country, insisting the leadership of the GBC fasted and prayed against the NDC's bid for another term in office.

Speaking at a Sermon in Kumasi, where Rev. Charles Oppong-Poku was inducted as the new Mid-Ghana Sector Head of the Ghana Baptist Convention, Rev. Dr Asante urged Ghanaians to continue to support the Nana Addo government to achieve all of its targets.
He further lauded the Free SHS policy launched by government, saying it will go a long way to breach the gap between the rich and poor when it comes to the deficit in Education.
Also touching on the conduct of certain men of God, Rev. Dr Asante said doing God's work is not all about the money, but a critical focus on winning more souls for Christ.
He noted that some so called men of God are more driven by monetary gains than sacrificing to show others the way to discover God.
He therefore advised pastors to be "guided by the biblical deeds to strengthen you to stay focused at all times and seek support from the Holy Spirit when in difficulty."
