Accra is undoubtedly the busiest city in Ghana, and the capital boasts of many beautiful areas that one way or the other attract visitors when they come the country.
While some of these areas are more industrial, others are also perfectly suited for commercial purposes and the setting up of offices.
Whichever way you look at it, one will need to be really rich in order to be able to afford a house or an office in such elite areas.
Here are 5 elite areas you can find in Ghana:
Located in the southern part of Accra, Dansoman is a friendly location for putting up estates. In fact, Dansoman has one of the largest estates in West Africa.
The area has some of the most expensive schools in the country and also boasts of some of the best food joints you could ever come across.
Both North and South Ridge constitute elite areas in Accra. When it comes to Ambassadorial Villas, then there is none better than Ridge.
The area also boasts of some of the best healthcare facilities, with the modernized Ridge hospital readily coming to mind.
You will also find majority of the embassies in the area, with the British Council also located there.
3. East Legon
East Legon is also one of the most beautiful areas in Accra. For persons looking to set up offices, the area stands as the best place possible.
For boutiques and clothing shops as well, East Legon will represent good value. The area also has some of the most popular malls in the country.
Talk of an area with the most business friendly environment, and Osu will readily come to mind.
The area boasts some of the finest casinos in the city, and is noted to house all the most popular food joints you can ever think of.
The likes of Papaye, Frankie's and KFC all have branches in Osu, with other commercial shops like Melcom and other malls also making a case for themselves.
5. Airport Residential Area
Described by many as the area for "Dbees", Airport Residential Area generally houses some of the most expensive apartments you could ever think of.
As an elite area, it is the best location when it comes to buying an estate property and undoubtedly has the best hotels in Accra.
Also, because the Kotoka International Airport is just nearby, products are very costly when bought over there.
Please note, that to acquire property in any of the above areas, one needs to have enough money. Prices are mostly quoted in US dollars, mind you!
