Officials from the Ghana National Fire Service begin formal investigations into the Atomic junction explosion

- An official of the Fire Service, Billy Anaglate, revealed that motive is to determine the exact cause of the incident

- The traders who lost items have reportedly reached called on the government for support

Officials from the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) have begun formal investigations into the cause(s) of the explosion that occurred at Atomic junction in Accra, on Saturday 7th October, this year.

They have therefore commenced formal interactions with traders and witnesses in the area, during the time of the incident, in order to arrive at a logical conclusion.

An official of the GNFS, Billy Anaglate, disclosed that his outfit intends to determine the extent of the damage to property, and in that regard adopt measures to ensure that such incidents do not occur again.

The unfortunate incident resulted in the loss of property, reportedly running into millions of cedis.

Traders are alleged to have called on the government to come to their aid, as they count their losses.
