- Arsene Wenger admits Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil could be sold in January
- Both players have their contracts expiring next summer but could leave for free in three months time
- Sanchez has told the club he does not want to renew while Ozil has held positive renewal talks
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger says it is “possible” his two star players Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil could leave the club in the January transfer window.
Both players are in the final year of their contracts and many of Europe's top clubs are looking to sign them.
Wenger might have given them an opening after admitting there is possibility that the two could be could.
Speaking ahead of this weekend's clash against Watford, Wenger said: "In our situation, we have envisaged every solution. It is possible.”
When asked specifically about Ozil's future at the club, the Frenchman replied: “It is my understanding [that he wants to stay].
“I hope the situation can be turned around. At the moment, we are not close enough to announce anything.”
According to Goal.com, Sanchez has told Arsenal that he will not sign a new deal, with Manchester City and PSG looking to sign him.
Arsenal travel to Watford on the back of a seven-game unbeaten run in all competitions, whereas the Hornets are unbeaten in their last two league fixtures.
