Merciless Manchester City thrash Stoke City 7-2 to go clear at the top

- Manchester City moved to the top of the Premier League table after a 7 - 2 win over Stoke City

- It was Gurdiola's biggest win at the Etihad

- In another match, Chelsea suffered a shock defeat to Crystal Palace

Tottenham achieved their first ever league win at Wembley when they defeated Bournemouth.

In Manchester City's game, Gabriel Jesus put Pep Guardiola's side up in the 17th minute, Raheem Sterling added a second two minutes later and David Silva made it three in the 27th minute.

Cesar Azpilicueta scored an own goal in the early stages as Palace started the stronger of the two sides but Tiemoue bakayoko made it level seven minutes later.

The winner came from Wilfred Zaha who scored few seconds to the half time.

Tammy Abraham scored twice in each half in Swansea's 2 - 0 win over Huddersfield.
