Alex Iwobi has revealed that he still receives advise from Thierry Henry who is also his favourite Arsenal player of all time.
Henry is now an assistant to Roberto Martinez in the Belgium setup alongside his media work.
The Frenchman worked in the Arsenal academy for a time, before leaving last summer after Arsene Wenger failed to give him a contract extension.
When asked who his ‘all time’ favourite Arsenal player was, Iwobi said: “Thierry Henry, defo.”
Iwobi told FourFourTwo: “The goals he got, the player he was – and he is still advising me today.”
Iwobi has also tipped close friend Chuba Akpom to soon follow the likes of Riess Nelson and Ainsley Maitland-Niles into the first team.
“I don’t know who to expect because you never know at this time who will come through,” he added. “But I would say Chuba Akpom.”
Iwobi made his senior Gunners debut three years after the Frenchman made his final appearance during a 2012 loan spell.
