Speaking in an interview on Accra-based Neat FM, the onetime music sensation gave his fans and listeners an awesome feel from the past with his famous “Ma Ba” hit song.

The musician took the airwaves by storm in the year 1996 when he collaborated with ace rapper Chicago on the hit song “Daavi Mede kuku”.

The song was an instant hit even though Ex Doe was known to be an Akan. Not long after the release of the song, a squabble occurred between Chicago and Ex Doe over the original owner of “Daavi Mede Kuku”.

The misunderstanding resulted in the creation of another hit song by the musician, “Ma Ba” which was known to be one of the very first ‘beef’ songs in Ghana. The song was allegedly directed at Chicago for claiming ownership of the song they collaborated on.

“Ma Ba” received a reply from Chicago which was titled “Wobeko”. This ‘beef’ among the two top rappers at the time gained a lot of media traction and it helped in promoting the songs sung by the two artistes.
