The First Grandmother talked about an event on September 1 where she was sitting with her son-in-law, the former president Barack Obama alongside her two daughters, namely, Malia and Sasha at the White House while they watched the former First Lady at the Democratic National Convention giving her speech.
Mrs. Robinson added that while she was looking at her daughter giving her speech, she could tell that Michelle Obama was having a real impact on everyone at the convention in Charlotte, North Carolina, and she knows Michelle sure did with those of us who know her best.
Marian Robinson continued by sharing that watching her daughter, Mrs. Obama, at that moment, was one of those special memories from the last years she will never forget during her stay in The White House.
However, she admitted that she wasn't surprised to see her daughter making such an impression.
From her perspective as a mother, and a grandmother, she can see her daughter's honesty and strength each day, and how much she loves her girls, and how hard she and Barack Obama worked together to make things better for everyone across the country.
The proud grandmother shared that during her time in The White House, she had the easiest job of all.
' I just get to be Grandma.'
Mrs. Robinson continued that one of her biggest blessings is being able to get to see her granddaughters grow up before her eyes.
Furthermore, she enthusiastically shared her beautiful story as a grandmother, such as going to all her granddaughters' plays as well as sports games.
Mrs. Robinson also recalled answering her granddaughters' questions.
