- Jose Mourinho wants to sign Tottenham Hotspur's left-back Danny Rose
- Rose has been left out of Spur's 2018 calendar as a move to United gathers pace
- It is understood that United will only make an offer of £50m on New Year
Manchester United will reportedly make a £50m bid on New Year Day for Tottenham Hotspur left-back Danny Rose after he was left our of his side's 2018 calendar.
Jose Mourinho has not been able to solve United's left back problem with Luke Shaw, still injured, Ashley Young and Daley Blind, Matteo Darmian failing to impress in that position.
The Special One now thinks Rose who recently returned from injury alongside Eric Lamela can become the solution to his problems as he chases the Champions League and Premier League title.
According to the Sun, United think they can get Rose if he is pushing for a move away from the club but it will still be hard to convince Daniel Levy to even consider doing business with them.
Levy failed to sell midfielder Eric Dier to them after United hijacked Dimitar Berbatov and Michael Carrick from them in the past.
Rose has spent ten years at White Hart Lane after moving there from Leeds in a £1million switch.
He has been a first team regular for the past four seasons and made nearly 150 appearances for the club and earned 12 England caps.
The move will spell the end for 22-year-old Shaw at Old Trafford.
A swap deal could however be a solution as Shaw is keen on reuniting with Mauricio Pochettino following their spell together at Southampton.
Rose appeared in last year’s calendar but he does not feature in the new one at all on the front cover or on any of the individual month pages.
