Member of Parliament for Assin Central, Kennedy Agyapong has threatened to embark on a naked demonstration if the poor roads in his constituency are not fixed.
The maverick lawmaker is unhappy with comments from sections of his constituents, who are blaming him for the poor road networks in their communities.
Mr Agyapong said he has already notified the minister for Roads and Highways on the subject, and expects an immediate response.
According to him, failure to fix the bad roads in his constituency could force him to embark on a naked demonstration.
Speaking on the Adom TV’s Badwam show, the Assin Central MP lamented the situation, saying it makes it difficult for commuters and motorists to ply the roads, particularly focusing on the road network around Foso.
“I want show it to you on my phone. The Foso road, from where the Police Barrier is located, there is a big manhole and I have pictures to show,” Mr Agyapong complained.
“The last time I told the [Roads and Highways] minister and the deputy-Chief in charge of maintenance that if they don’t fix the roads I will embark on a naked demonstration.”
Kennedy Agyapong has been the MP for Assin Central since 2000, and has contributed to a number of developmental projects in the constituency.
