Takoradi Technical University admission requirements
You will need the following general requirements to be admitted into the institution:
- Certificates applicants should have at least four passes in relevant subjects and any other equivalent qualifications
- Diploma prospective need passes in three core disciplines and one elective subject.
- Mature applicants should be above 25 years old and must have evidence of work experience.
- Degree candidates with a diploma or HND must possess at least a Second Class Lower Division in any related field.
- Masters aspirants should have a good first degree
- All the certificates must be from accredited institutions.
- International students should have a residence permit or immigration clearance. Ghanaian citizens should have a Ghanaian passport and a birth certificate to prove citizenship.
Is Takoradi Polytechnic forms out?
Takoradi application is strictly made via the online admission system. There are no hardcopy forms that you need to buy or fill will a pen. Currently, online applications are opened. You should apply and submit all the documents by Friday, 31st July 2020.

- The directorate of finance: Walk into the university and head to the department. Payment is through cash.

Takoradi Technical University application procedure for international students
Follow the steps below:
- Open your browser: Navigate to your start menu and click on your favourite browser icon to open.
- Go to the admission system: Do not confuse this with the Takoradi Technical University student portal as the two are different. The latter is only meant for already admitted and continuing scholars.
- Enter your personal details: This will include name, email, phone number, and nationality.
- Tap the Register button: This is below the Nationality text box.
- Retrieve your PIN and Serial Number: Login to your email provider, go to your inbox and check for new messages.
- Log in to the admission portal: After entering the required information, tap on the "Log In" button.
- Tap “Click to start application”: Read all the instructions before clicking on the button.
- Upload a passport-sized photo: It should be of JPG and JPEG format with dimensions of 180px by 180px.
- Fill in your Bio Data: You will be asked for information such as First Name, Last Name, Other Names, Title, Gender, Date of Birth, Phone number, Entry Qualifications, Religion, and Disabilities. Fill in all the details correctly.
- Enter your location information: Specify your hometown, address, email, and county.
- Provide your guardian information: Enter his or her name, your relationship, address, and source of income.
- Tap “Click to go to Step 2”: Make sure the details you have provided are correct, and you have saved them before proceeding.
- Specify your academic information: Specify your programmes choices, former school, proffered residence hall, and programs.
- Apply as awaiting result: If your national examination results are not yet out, make sure you set this option to Yes.
- Save the information: Click on the Save button.
- Print the form: Use the “Click to Preview and Print” button.
- Submit all the forms: Write the admission number generated on the back of your form upon completing the forms.

Use the procedure below:

- Follow steps 7 to 17 in the above procedure: You will need to upload your passport photo, enter personal and academic details, print the form then submit it before the stated deadline.
