Election 2020: Afia Scwhar is a better option than Professor Opoku-Agyemang - Wontumi

Since the National Democratic Congress (NDC), announced Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang as the running mate of John Mahama in the 2020 elections, alot of people have attacked her candidature.

One such person who seems to have an issue with the selection of Professor Opoku-Agyemang is the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the NPP, Chairman Wontumi.

Speaking on his radio station earlier today, he quizzed what exactly Jane Naana was bringing to the table as a vice-presidential aspirant.

According to him, Ghanaian actress, Afia Scwhar is a better option for the NDC as compared to Professor Naana Opoku Agyemang.

Wontumi added that Afia Schwar's output in Ghana is quantifiable as compared to Professor Opoku-Agyemang.

Meanwhile, YEN.com.gh earlier reported that the ruling NPP undermined the selection of Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang as the running mate for John Mahama and the NDC into the 2020 elections.

According to the communications director of the party, Yaw Buabeng Asamoah, Agyemang has no credibility or track records to justify the NDC’s choice.

He also said although the NDC has delayed in naming its running mate, “It is better late than never."
