Speaking in an interview on Joy FM, Professor Adei disclosed that Ghana would be worse off should Mahama win the 2020 general elections.

In the interview, Adei said:

“Ghana will be worse off if Mahama becomes president again. I stand by my assertion which I made 16th October 2016. It still holds. John Mahama today, as he was then, does not have the full complement of leadership competencies to lead Ghana, be it on vision, strategic thinking, selecting or leading even a team B, curbing the menace of corruption, or prosecuting a credible development agenda.”

He emphasised that by voting for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), a great disservice would be done to the country Ghana by "fielding him as a one-term presidential candidate".

In a post sighted by YEN.com.gh, Mahama stated that she was unanimously endorsed by the National Executive Council of the NDC.

John Dramani Mahama described Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang as a God-fearing woman, a distinguished scholar, a conscientious public servant, and a role model.
