President Akufo-Addo swears in 6 Appeal Court justices; photos drop

- President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has sworn in six (6) Justices of the Court of Appeal

- The newly appointed Justices comprises four men and two women

- Nana Addo said they are eminently fit and qualified for the position of Justice of the Court of Appeal

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has sworn in six (6) Justices of the Court of Appeal at a ceremony at Jubilee House.

The newly appointed Justices comprises four men and two women.

The newly appointed Justices are Justice George Koomson, Justice Edward Amoako Asante, Justice Novisi Afua Aryene, Justice Eric Baah, Justice Richard Adjei-Frimpong, and Justice Cynthia Pamela Akotoaa Addo.

At the event on Friday, August 7, 2020, Nana Addo said they are eminently fit and qualified for the position of Justice of the Court of Appeal and have the impartiality of mind and independence of spirit to hold this high office.

As usual, Ghanaians have reacted to the post by sharing their thoughts, suggestions, as well as well wishes.

We can continue to appoint more justices to the various court in ghana but the most important thing to do is to ensure justice for every Ghanaian, whether poor, rich, or average.

Seth Sasu called on the justices to deliver justice without fear or favor

They should deliver their judgment without fear or favor. And always adhere to the rule of natural justice.

In other news, President Nana Akufo-Addo has nominated Abdul Mumin Issah to succeed the late Sekondi/Takoradi Mayor, Anthony K. K. Sam, who died after contracting COVID-19.

The President also took drastic action by relieving his District Chief Executives (DCE) of their posts.

In a letter signed by the Minister of Local Government and Rural Development, Hajia Alima Mahama, the President named Clement Opoku Gyamfi as the new DCE for the Amansie South District.
