John Mahama accuses Akufo-Addo of taking Ghana’s democracy back 28 years

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) flag-bearer, John Dramani Mahama, has taken on President Nana Akufo-Addo for the manner in which Ghana’s democracy is growing.
According to the former president, Akufo-Addo’s tenure has ensured the country’s democracy is retrogressing.
In the latest Facebook post, the NDC leader opined that the Akufo-Addo administration is involved in the oppression of the legislature and compromised state institutions with politics.

Mahama stated that under Nana Akufo-Addo, the country’s judiciary has become partial and biased.
John Mahama wrote on his Facebook wall on Friday, August 7, 2020:
“… an Auditor General hounded out of office, a misused military, anti-corruption institutions in bondage, an intimidated media, and a terrified moral society. These constitute the tragedy of the four years of Akufo-Addo’s administration.
“He has set our democracy back twenty-eight (28) years. This is what makes it a patriotic duty for all patriotic Ghanaians to join hands to rescue our nation."
The former president lastly noted the New Patriotic Party (NPP) government has also failed to continue with projects started by the former NDC Administration.

YEN.com.gh earlier reported that Member of Parliament for Ningo Prampram, Sam Dzata George, has backed former president John Dramani Mahama's campaign promise of creating one million jobs in four years if elected back into office.
Breaking the number down, he argued that for the next four years the NDC would be creating a total of 250 jobs every given year.
According to him, that is possible because the NDC has done analysis in both the private and the public sector to ensure feasibility.
