Popular Nigerian disc jockey, Ayorinde Kehinde Okiki, popularly known as DJ Kaywise, recently put a big smile on his mother's face as she turned a year older.

Two days after celebrating her birthday, DJ Kaywise surprised his mother with a brand new car, a Toyota Highlander 2010 v6 4WD Drive (Automatic).

He took to his Instagram page to share a series of photos that captured the moments she was surprised with the new ride and her reaction afterwards.

In the photo, the woman can be seen hugging her son and then the car, pure joy written all over her face.

Sharing the photos, he wrote: "Happy birthday once again mum I love you !!! thank you for everything"

In another story, Dr. Umar Mohammed has graduated with a Ph.D in Renaissance Drama from the College of Liberal Arts at the University of Texas in the US.

The young Ghanaian achiever is one of the first beneficiaries of the Kennedy-Lugar Youth Exchange and Study (YES) programme.

From an undeserved community in the Northern Region, Umar, became a YES beneficiary some 15 years ago.

Umar reveals that he had his first interaction with the U.S. Embassy in Ghana and the State Department through the YES Program at a very young age.

''This opportunity afforded him then opened his small world to wider horizons,'' he says.
