The PPP has chosen and outdoored Madam Bridgitte Dogbenuku as the party’s flagbearer on Saturday, September 12, 2020.

She was the running mate of Dr. Papa Kwesi Ndoum in the 2016 elections.

Accepting her new role at the congress over the weekend, Madam Dogbenuku said the PPP is ready to wrestle power from the NPP in December.

Dogbenuku said the time for a change is now, calling on Ghanaians to vote massively for the PPP in the coming elections.

She decried that though Ghanaians have been promised “a better Ghana” agenda and “positive change” over the years, there is nothing to show for, making the PPP the ideal option for 2020.

If elected, the PPP flagbearer says her party will bring about a new crop of leadership that believes in and promote hard work, honesty, integrity, respect, and discipline, loyalty, dignity, and pride.

Dogbenuku also pledged to restore good values, discipline, and patriotism in Ghana when voted into power and promised to lead an incorruptible government.

Meanwhile, it seems the majority if not all the political parties are ready for the upcoming election as flagbearers have been chosen and manifestoes launched.

The NPP launched its manifesto in August and one of the promises is that the party would pay rent for working youth when they win power again.

The NDC also launched its manifesto in September and one of the promises is that the party will scrap the corporate income tax for small companies.

The NDC also promises to scrap the law banning the importation of salvaged cars in order to keep spare parts dealers and sellers in business.
