Former Black Stars captain Stephen Appiah marked his birthday with a massive party held at his residence in Accra.

Appiah turned 37 on December 24, 2017, but decided to push his birthday party into the next year.
On Sunday, the former Juventus midfielder invited friends, journalists and family members to his residence for a huge birthday bash.

However, in the heat of the celebrations Appiah found himself soaked after some of his friends decided to spray him with water.
In a viral video, the former Black Stars skipper is captured soaked with water from bottles, as he marked his 37th birthday.
Appiah played for Ghana for over a decade and was the first man to ever captain the nation to a World Cup.
He is also regarded as one of the most committed players to have ever played for the Black Stars.
