The East Legon Divisional Police has declared former Black Stars striker, Baffour Gyan wanted for unlawfully seizing the passport of Gifty Gyan, wife of his brother, Asamoah Gyan.
Baffour is alleged to have seized the passport and travel documents of Gifty and her three children when he met them on arrival at the Kotoka International Airport.
Lawyers for Mrs. Gyan filed an official complaint at the East Legon Police Station after Baffour Gyan failed to submit the documents which he seized from Mrs. Gyan when she arrived in the country.

The documents include her travel UK residence permit and that of her three children, their health insurance documents and passports.
According to a publication by MyNewsGh.com, attempts by officials of East Legon Police to reach Baffour Gyan has failed.
The laws of Ghana only allow a court of law to seize a citizen’s passport for a stated reason(s).
Baffour Gyan is said to have lured the wife of his kid brother, Asamoah Gyan and her children to Ghana. On arriving in the country, he seized their travel documents.
Ghanaian footballer and captain of the Ghana Black Stars, Asamoah Gyan has allegedly filed for divorce from his wife, Gifty Gyan, at the Divorce and Matrimonial Division of the High Court, Accra.

The footballer has also denied fathering their three children and is demanding a DNA test to be carried out on all three to ascertain if he is the father of the children.
