Manchester United on Saturday, January 5, continued with their impressive performance under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer beating Reading 2-0 in the English FA Cup third round.
United fans were in joyous mood at Old Trafford and applauded the whole players after the final whistle.
But the visitors were the first who had the chance to score in the 6th minute when Tiago Ilori sent a long ball to Danny Loader, but he could not beat United goalie Sergio Romero.
United got their own chance five minutes later when Fred provided a superb pass for Alexis Sanchez only for the Chilean to waste the Brazilian's effort.
The hosts however netted their first goal in the 22nd minute via a penalty scored by Juan Mata who was brought down by Omar Richards.
Alexis Sanchez provided a nice assist in the 45th minute for Romelu Lukaku to score the second goal as Manchester United won 2-0 and qualified for the next round of the FA Cup.
Earlier, YEN reported how Premier League giants Manchester United appointed Ole Gunnar Solskjær as their new manager until the end of the ongoing 2018/19 Premier League season.
The 45-year-old Norwegian football manager replaces former manager Jose Mourinho who was thrown out of the club because of poor results.
He was joined by Mike Phelan as first-team coach, together with Michael Carrick and Kieran McKenna this season at Old Trafford.
