Harry Kane's VAR gives Tottenham edge over Chelsea in Caraboa semi

- Harry Kane's lone strike was all Tottenham needed to beat Chelsea in the semi-finals of the EFL Cup

- Spurs recorded 1-0 victory over fellow Premier League outfit Chelsea in the first semi final of the competition

- They will battle either of Manchester City and Burton Albion in the final of the championship

Tottenham Hotspur are through to the final of the EFL Cup following their 1-0 victory over Chelsea at the Wembley Stadium on Tuesday night.

Harry Kane scored the only goal that handed his side the victory after normal regulation period through the spot kick.

The goal brought Kane's goal tally to all competition to 19 in all competitions this campaign as all efforts for the Blues to turn the able around proved unfruitful.

Brazil winger Willian combined well with Ross Barkley in the 34th minute but their effort was blocked out by Spurs defenders.

The two teams continued to press for goals in the remainder of the game but the first half goal sealed the triumph for the Lilywhites

Spurs will battle with winner of the second semi final clash between Manchester City and Burton Albion which will be played on Wednesday.
