Olivier Giroud has mocked Arsenal following Chelsea's 4-1 win over Arsenal in the Europa League final hosted in Baku, Azerbaijan.

Giroud broke the encounter's deadlock in the 49th minute with a diving header before Pedro doubling the lead moments later.

Eden Hazard went on to send Petr Cech the wrong way from the penalty spot before Alex Iwobi pulling one back for Arsenal with an excellent long range goal.

Hazard completed his brace soon after to inspire Chelsea to a comprehensive win.

The victory saw Chelsea players take the celebrations to social media through live feeds, with Giroud appearing to mock his former club in one of the videos shared on Instagram.

In the footage published by Jorginho, the French forward can be seen holding the Europa League trophy and shouting towards the camera: "Thank you, Arsenal!"

Incidentally, the 32-year-old had moments after the match paid tribute to Arsenal, claiming the north London club had shaped him.

"These two clubs changed my life, they gave me the opportunity to play in the Premier League," he was quoted saying.

"I didn’t want to celebrate against Arsenal but I am so proud to win this trophy with Chelsea," he added.

Giroud completed a move to Stamford Bridge in January 2018 And has been one of Chelsea's standout players in the Europa League this season.
