Bruno Fernandes: Ronaldo and Nani say Man United's new signing is fantastic

Cristiano Ronaldo and Luis Nani, have passed a vote of confidence on club's new boy Bruno Fernandes, with both adding that the creative attacking midfielder will bring touches of brilliance to United squad.

Fernandes completed his £68million club switch from Sporting Lisbon to Manchester United on a four-and-a-half-year contract on Thursday, January 30.

He was then pictured in Manchester United kit for the first time in what brings an end to the wide speculation surrounding his January transfer switch.

Rio Ferdinand has now revealed that he spoke with former teammates Nani and Ronaldo on the potentials of the 25-year-old former Sporting midfielder and both described him as the missing option in Red Devils team.

The former defender said he was impressed by Ronaldo and Nani's assessment of the Portuguese star who prior to the deal admitted that he had his sights set on a move to the Premier League.

"Nani, my old teammate, says he’s a fantastic player, says he’s perfect for England. Says he’s got all the tools, all the right attributes.

"Cristiano said he’s fantastic, creates chances for him. He can manipulate the ball, take the ball, confident,'' Ferdinand said.

Ferdinand also described Fernandes as a player who can create chances and is capable of solving Man United's problem in the midfield while complementing Paul Pogba's efforts through a sublime attack.

The former defender has said the former Sporting Lison star is coming in with a fresh challenge to make legacy having seen his Ronaldo make his own the English side under Sir Alex Ferguson.

Manchester United will face Wolves in their next Premier League encounter on Sunday, February 2, and Fernandes could make his debut.
