Boxing legend 'Iron' Mike Tyson has continued his impressive training routine ahead of his return to the rings 15 years after announcing his retirement.

The 53-year-old recently confirmed that he has offered to step back into the rings but insisted that he will not fight a non-boxer.

He posted a few video clips while training and showing the world that he still has the skills and the swiftness to knock any opposition out.

His latest video saw him looked into the camera to address anyone who cares to watch, saying: "Hey I’m Mike Tyson, I’m on Weibo now, I’ll let you know there’s a possibility I might come back, but if I do I’m going to fight with the spirit of Mao.”

Tyson who remains the youngest boxer to win a heavyweight title took his training to the next level as he flaunts his broad shoulders and huge biceps which certainly intimidate any opponent.

Daily Star claims the 53-year-old still has the devastating punching power he owned during his peak in the late eighties but like many sports stars, Tyson got out of shape after retiring.

His battles with drink and other things played a key role in his excessive weight gain after his retirement.

Tyson said in an Instagram live broadcast: “I’ve been hitting the mitts for the last week. That's been tough, my body is really jacked up and really sore from hitting the mitts.

I’ve been working out, I've been trying to get in the ring, I think I'm going to box some exhibitions and get in shape.

I want to go to the gym and get in shape to be able to box three or four-round exhibitions for some charities and stuff.

Legit.ng earlier reported that Mike Tyson's much-awaited return to the boxing rings might have suffered a major setback as the former heavyweight champion is not planning to fight a non-boxer.

The 53-year-old was earlier touted to participate in an exhibition tourney in Australia but the American seems to have shut down the idea.

He felt it would be a mockery of the sport to be fighting a non-bonafide boxer, and would only faceoff with a boxer if he had to come out of retirement.
