Ex-Hearts of Oak midfielder, Masawudu Suleiman Alhassan, has passed away in Libya.

In a report seen by YEN.com.gh, Masawudu faced his death when he was shot in Libya.

Masawudu has been in Libya with the hope to sign for a lower-tier side in the said country.

He couldn't realize his dream after he was shot dead by unknown gunmen.

The heartbreaking news of his death was confirmed on Monday, November 2, 2020, and many people can't stop crying.

His death will definitely be a blow to his family and some friends.

The news was reported by Kumasi-based Pure FM via a post on their official Twitter handle Monday, November 2, 2020.

The deceased once played for Premier League sides Mdedeam SC and Accra Hearts of Oak

Meanwhile, former Black Stars captain, Asamoah Gyan. has returned to the Ghana Premier League after 17 years.

Gyan has officially joined Ghana Premier League side Legon Cities FC ahead of the upcoming season.

The former Sunderland goal poacher inked a deal with Legon Cities FC on the transfer deadline day.

Gyan took to his Instagram handle to announce his move to the Legon based football club.

In 2003, Gyan played for Liberty Professionals in which he scored more than 10 goals in that particular season.

He has previously played for Sunderland, Udidense, Al Ain, etc.

He is regarded as one of the richest football stars in Africa at the moment.

Gyan will thus become the highest-paid player in the Ghana Premier League.

He is expected to earn over $200,000 every year.
