Charles Epiphany Senior said: “It's obvious you talked like this. This is our Parliament too. Stay in your lane young man. Where are the jobs? You were deputy finance minister before so you're part of our problems.”

Ato Forson called on the Akufo-Addo administration to ban sports betting.

It followed disclosures by the caretaker Finance Minister, Osei Kyei Mensa-Bonsu that the country loses over Ghs300million to leakages in the gaming industry.

But, speaking on Joy News’ PM Express on Monday, March 15, 2021, Ato Forson bemoaned how the industry is destroying the Ghanaian youth.

“Ghana today, we are complaining that this gambling is destroying our youth. I have read a number of articles on this. I would have thought the government will come out with a policy to restrict gambling and to even ban it,” he said.
“To run a country is not all about money,” the MP for Ajumako-Enyan-Esiam added. “You need to preserve society as well.”

His call was, however, met with outrage and scorn from the Ghanaian youth.

Robert Asare said: Have you given us any job too??? The already existing ones too have become your families’ properties. Before you hear of any vacancy then the positions have already been filled with family members. Employ us and stop that foolish protocol before you come talk trash to us.
Bafume Napoleon added: What has he ever done to improve the fortunes of the youth of this country.
Citizen Botwe Ankasa called for Ato Forson to rather be banned in parliament. “He is an enemy to the nation's progress.”
Richard Kwaku Busi said: Let's ban Politics and the so called Democracy first because it's the first thing destroying the youth of Ghana before banning Sports bet.
Kwadwo Agyemang continued: How many jobs did you create when you were in power....when some of us criticize you people to do the right thing in office...you think we say it for ourselves or we have nothing doing....you are all part of where we are now...Do you have a job for them? Your parliamentary officers take 600000 at the end of each year.... how much do you invest in the youth.....? Hypocrites!
