- Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca has said Moises Caicedo is on the same level as Declan Rice and Rodri
- The Arsenal and Manchester City midfielders have been the two best players in their position in the Premier League
- Caicedo is the fourth most expensive player in Premier League history and has improved immensely after a poor start
Enzo Maresca has lauded Moises Caicedo and compared him to Arsenal's Declan Rice and Ballon d'Or winner Rodri.
The Ecuadorian joined the Blues last year but had a torrid first season. This season, he has been one of the Blues' best players this campaign.
Caicedo played 35 games for the Blues in the league last season but received intense criticism for underwhelming performances. This season, he has started all 14 of Chelsea's league games.

Rodri's superb performances for club and country have brought them Premier League titles, the Champions League, a European Champions with Spain, and a Ballon d'Or.
On the other hand, Rice helped Arsenal mount a serious title challenge last season and is a regular under Arteta and with England.
Meanwhile, Caicedo had a poor first season at Chelsea but is beginning to play like the fourth most expensive footballer in Premier League history, per Transfermarkt.
Maresca believes his midfielder is on the same level as Rodri and Rice.
“He is for sure now at that level," Maresca explained per Football London. "No doubt. Unfortunately, Rodri is injured but Declan is playing. But I think Moises can sit at that table with that kind of midfielder.”
The midfielder is expected to start on Sunday, December 8 against Tottenham Hotspur.
Chelsea are genuine title contenders
YEN.com.gh earlier reported that Chelsea has defied all odds this season and has emerged as one of the serious Premier League contenders despite being written off at the start of the campaign.
The Blues under Enzo Maresca have been rejuvenated and find themselves fighting for the league title against against Liverpool, Manchester City, and Arsenal.
Chelsea are presently seven points behind table-toppers Liverpool and based on their current form, no one will most likely write them off to challenge for the title this season.
