Taylor Swift donates over GHc170k to teenager to attend university

Taylor Swift has donated over KSh 3.2 million (£23,000) to a teenager who started a GoFundMe appeal to become a mathematician.

The singer made a generous donation to Victoria Mario who fails Tottenham.

Mario who was offered a chance to study at the University of Warwick described herself as a black-year-old with a dream.

According to a report by Daily Mail, despite being offered a chance to study Mathematics at the prestigious institution, Mario could not afford to take it up.

The 30-year-old singer came across Mario's GoFundMe appeal and decided to gift her with the rest of the tuition fee she would need for her studies.

Leaving a message, the star said:

"Vitoria, I came across your story online and am so inspired by your drive and dedication to turning your dreams into reality. I want to gift you the rest of your goal amount. Good luck with everything you do! Love, Taylor."

Wowed by the singer's contribution, the young girl responded to her message filled with a lot of gratitude.

"My mind has been blown. I was wondering how to reach enough people to hit my goal and now this miracle has happened. I am just over the moon. I got 1A and 2A*s in my exam results recently and this is just a huge cherry on the cake!" responded Mario.

Earlier on TUKO.co.ke reported the story a Nigerian couple that waited for 12 years to have a baby.

The new mom identified as Rosemarie Ayodele Oyedele was filled with gratitude to God as she took to Facebook to announce that she and her husband had welcomed their daughter.

The proud mom shared photos of her small family and thanked God for the special gift in their marriage.

"Our joy is full. God is ever faithful to fail. 12 years of God's delay. 12 years of answered prayers. Our Shiloh baby has finally arrived. 12 years of believing. God finally showed himself because he is too good to fail. We welcome our princess who came to give us everlasting joy," wrote Oyedele.
