A former National Democratic Congress (NDC) aspiring flagbearer, Alban Bagbin, has assured party members of a return to power.

According to him, “this party, NDC, will not only survive, but it will also return to power.”

Delving into history, he recalled instances in which party members such as Tsatsu Tsikata were jailed during the tenure of former president Kufuor.

He went on to say that Victor Selormey died in prison after being convicted under very controversial conditions, and both Kwame Peprah and Dan Abodakpi were not spared but the party survived and returned to power for two terms.

Touching on more recent events, he said at the party level, three national executives, including the national chairman, Samuel Ofosu Ampofo, have been charged by the police for supposedly conspiring to commit crime on the basis of a secretly recorded tape.
