Veteran actor, Osofo Dadzie, known in his private life as Frimpong Manso, has passed away, YEN.com.gh has gathered.
The news of Osofo Dadzie's passing was first broken by Ghanaian actor, Clement Bonney, who is popularly known as Mr Beautiful.
In an interview on Accra-based Okay FM monitored by YEN.com.gh, Mr Beautiful disclosed that Osofo Dadzie passed away this morning, Monday, August 10, 2020.

From what YEN.com.gh heard from Mr beautiful, Osofo Dadzie was 89 years old.
For those who may not know, Frimpong Manso was one of the leading characters of the Osofo Dadzie TV series alongside the likes of the late Super OD and S.K. Oppong.

Mostly playing the roles of a pastor, it was the group and TV series name that eventually became his nickname.
The original Osofo Dadzie series ran on GBC TV (GTV), then the only TV station in Ghana from October 1972 to December 1981.
er the series, Osofo Dadzie became part of the Obra Drama Troupe which's was a drama that was shown on GTV as part of the Sunday night Akan Drama series.
Osofo Dadzie left TV screens in the 1990s for the United States where he worked as a store assistant in Connecticut and later at Command Security Company protecting Wester Bank at East Hartford. He returned to Ghana in 2015.
Following the passing of Super OD, known in his private life as Asonaba Kwaku Darko, Frimpong Manso had remained the only male member of the Osofo Dadzie living.
The passing of Frimpong Manso comes exactly two months after another Ghanaian actress, Beatrice Chinery, popularly known as Miliki Mi Cool, also passed on.
Miliki Mi Cool, as earlier reported by YEN.com.gh, passed away on the morning of June 10, 2020.
The veteran actress was most popular for her roles in Kejetia and YOLO TV series
