Nigerian doctor warns against kissing newborn when visiting a new mothers

- A Nigerian medical doctor popularly known as Aproko Doctor has given guidelines on what to do when visiting new a new mother

- According to Aproko Doctor, one of the things to do when visiting a new mother is to get a gift for the new mother

- He also says anyone who is sick or has catarrh should not bother visiting a new mother

A Nigerian doctor with the Twitter handle @aproko_doctor has taken to the microblogging site to advise those who may intend to visit a new mother.

The doctor, who is known on the social media platform for giving health tips, said highlighted measures to take when going to visit a new mother.

He said people should consider postponing the visit because the new mother needs to rest. And when ready to visit, washing of hands should be a priority.

The medical doctor also said that people should not bother visiting a new mother if they are sick or have catarrh.

He warned visitors against kissing the newborn and also warned them against going to see a new mum without taking a gift along.

Aproko Doctor advised against wearing strong perfumes and asked people to keep their advice to themselves when they arrive at the new mother's house.

Meanwhile, it was previously reported that a woman with the Facebook name Oby Evelyn gave birth to a set of triplets after 14 years of marriage and trying to conceive.
