Prominent Ghanaian-American plastic surgeon, Dr Michael Obeng, has successfully removed the Gorilla Glue Spray used by a Louisiana woman to hold her hair down after she ran out of hairspray.
Tessica Brown, 40, gained internet attention after posting about her ordeal on social media, revealing she had not been able to move her hair for about a month after applying the Gorilla glue.
She flew to the Beverly Hills office of Dr Obeng on Wednesday for the procedure to remove the permanent glue.
After several attempts to remove the glue out by herself and a trip to the emergency room, her viral video prompted Dr Obeng who offered to help remove the permanent bonding adhesive.
''The surgery went well. Tessica is doing well. She is awake and the hair crew is doing her hair,'' Obeng said Wednesday, adding that ''It’s unmatted. It's untangled.''
The procedure normally costs more than $12,000 (GHC69,543.44) but was done for free.
