A determined mother, Claudette Alicia Keneisha, has made herself proud as she graduates with a master's degree in Childhood Education/Bilingual Extension from the New York Institute of Technology.

Sharing her academic achievement in a post on social media, she disclosed she had to defeat daunting odds to attain her postgraduate degree.

Claudette Alicia Keneisha was pregnant whilst pursuing her master's at the institute, disclosing that her ''first-trimester sickness made me pause for a bit.''

Despite the brief obstruction, she overcame the challenges that came with combining her studies with pre and postnatal pregnancy.

As she graduates during a pandemic that has ravaged the world and disrupted education in many countries, she said:

''I walked across the stage today with the main priority in my hand.

Dear Kyla, I dedicate this to you. It seems as though u wanted me to delay so that you could be a part of the celebration. The first-trimester sickness made me pause for a bit. But mommy kept the fire burning. Masters in childhood education/ bilingual extension. Summa [cam] Laude!''

Earlier, YEN.com.gh reported Kumawood actress, Oheneyere Mercy Asiedu, has shown benevolence to a young paraplegic girl who hasn't walked before in her life.

The renowned actress who is married to a chief, Nana Agyeman Badu, will soon be marking her 50th birthday.

As part of activities toward celebrating her special day, Oheneyere Mercy Asiedu donated an undisclosed amount to the young paraplegic girl.

In other news, a momo vendor, Joseph Addo, has given a jaw-dropping narration about how he met his biological father for the first time after several attempts.
