Actor John Dumelo has responded to news about the impending increase in the price of petrol.

On Sunday, May 16, 2021, reported that the Chamber of Petroleum Consumers – Ghana (COPEC) revealed that the price of fuel will be increased.

The Executive Secretary of the chamber, Duncan Amoah in a signed statement, said this has become necessary due to the increase of petroleum prices on the international market.

Amoah said the commodity which was sold at $520 per metric tonne has now been pegged at about $545 per metric tonne.

"Asem aba," responded Dumelo to the news on Twitter.

Patrick Hard suggested that the actor was enjoying the hard times the country is facing: "Politics smh, seems like you're enjoying the crisis this country is facing right now and the mismanagement of the current government. Sigh!!!"

Meanwhile, Nana Aba Anamoah, the General Manager of GhOneTV has slammed representatives of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) over their 'No Bed' complaints.

In the past few days, there have been several stories of people losing their lives over the non-availability of beds at the national hospitals in Ghana.

On Saturday, May 15, reported that Sam George, the NDC Member of Parliament for Ningo-Prampram, shared a personal experience of his constituent losing his life because of a lack of beds. He used the experience to lash out at people who are against the #FixTheCountry campaign whilst calling on the government to resolve the issues plaguing the country.
