Barcelona may have been handed a boost in their chase for Neymar Jr who has reportedly agreed to take a 50 percent wage cut before returning to Camp Nou.

The Brazilian forward became the most expensive player in the world in 2017 after securing a move valued around £198 million to Paris Saint Germain.

Three years down the lane, the Brazilian winger is now ready to force a move back to Catalonia and will make a financial sacrifice as reported by Daily Mail quoting Mundo Deportivo.

The 28-year-old currently earns £600,000-a-week at PSG but will not mind £300,000-a-week just to return to Barcelona.

He was said to have rejected a new contract worth £90 million to extend his stay at Parc Des Princes 2022 last November.

Daily Mail further revealed that the French club could lower their price expectation to £132m on the forward since he doesn't want to stay at the club beyond this summer.

The Catalans have not hidden their quest of bringing Neymar back while also eyeing Inter Milan forward Lautaro Martinez.

The Argentine is expected to cost the La Liga table-toppers £98 million if they must attempt to lure him away from San Siro.
