This is not the first-time students have clashed. In 2017, three students were stabbed at the University of Cape Coast (UCC) following a clash between some students of the University of Ghana and Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST).
There was also the clash between Continental students and Katanga students in October 2017. Almost every semester, students from across the various campuses in the country engage in some form of a scuffle.
