Police CID, Interpol deny arrest of social media millionaire

- Officials at the Police Criminal Investigations Department (CID) say they have no idea who young millionaire, Ibrah is or what he has done

- The police's revelation comes on the back of reportage by bloggers and social media commentators that Ibrah has been arrested for alleged money laundering

Popular Ghanaian millionaire, Ibrahim Dauda, has not been arrested, contrary to reports making rounds in the media.

According to a report by Accra-based Joy FM, news that the mega-rich social personality has been arrested are unfounded, following checks with the Ghana Police.

Ibra 1, as he is popularly known, is alleged to have defrauded a friend to the tune of $400,000. Further reports suggested that he had been arrested by the police.

However, checks from the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) actually indicate that the young millionaire has not been arrested.

This was established after Multimedia journalist Manasseh Azure Awuni made some checks with the police.

Joy News reports that officials at the Police CID, the local chapter of International Police or Interpol and also the Dansoman Police Station, where he was alleged to have been placed under arrest said they have no idea who he is or what he has done.

These pictures are mostly displayed on social media platforms Instagram, Snapchat, Twitter and YouTube.

Some of the vehicles include the convertible Mercedes Benz, Bentley, G-Wagon, Range Rover, Ferrari and convertible Audi.

Mr Dauda is not shy to showcase his plethora of vehicles although the source of his worth is not visible.

He made the news in December 2017 when he distributed iPhone X to all passengers on a public transport he took in Accra on his birthday.
