Double salary saga: 5 top NDC officials confided in me – Chairman Wontumi

- NPP's Ashanti Regional Chairman, Chairman Wontumi, has revealed that some NDC officials have revealed secrets to him

- According to him, they admitted that they received double salaries during the John Mahama administration

The Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Bernard Antwi Boasiako, popularly known as Chairman Wontumi, has claimed that some National Democratic Congress (NDC) officials have confided in him.

According to a report by rainbowradioonline.com, he stated that the people involved revealed that they received double salaries during the tenure of Former President John Mahama.

Chairman Wontumi made these revelations during the regional delegates congress held at Ejura in the Ashanti region on Saturday, April 21, 2018, to elect regional executives of the party.

The outspoken politician told the gathering that, the top officials came to see him to plead on their behalf, because they did not want to go to prison for receiving double salaries.

The Criminal Investigations Department (CID) of the Ghana Police Service (GPS) has meanwhile begun a probe of the officials involved.

Some of the people mentioned have however denied any wrongdoing.
